3 Pod Maraca from Zimbabwee. Made from dried fruits which are known locally as "hosho" - the fruit of the Illala palm. These fruits are very bitter and inedible so they are are dried onto sticks and used for music!
Ideal as a percussion instrument the 3 pod maraca makes a lovely gentle shaking sound, and isn't too hard on the ears!
