Each piece of Huichol yarn art is hand made and unique, so once sold you will not be able to get another the same. The same design is never repeated as each piece is the manifestation of a vision the artist has had, usually while under the influence of Peyote cactus.
Often they will retreat into a cave in the mountains for days on end, taking Peyote and communing with nature. When they return they bring with them the finished "vision".

Please note: Our photographs do not do these incredible works of art justice. They are made of thousands of pieces of coloured yarn pressed onto wax covered wood. They are simply breath taking (and that's not just a sales line!). You are welcome to come and view them - please give advance notice as not all pieces are kept in the shop. Also - we have edited these photographs onto the green background - some of the edges have been lost in this process (i.e. the edges are better in real life than on our doctored photographs).
